Coraline

Wednesday, 18 February 2009 07:19 by david

Anna and I had a chance to get out to the theater on Monday to see Coraline. I have been excited to see this film for a year now since finding this poster on the web. It is amazing what good design does. It really was a great movie especially in 3D. I do have to admit our eyes were so tired by midway. Part of me still wishes that this was produced in 2D traditional animation in the like of Triplets of Belleville.

Eustace, in print.

Wednesday, 4 February 2009 04:17 by david

I was pretty happy to hear the other day that one of my Eustace covers I submitted for the "contest" was well received and places as one of the top 12 favorites by the New Yorker. It currently is in an online show curated by the art director, Françoise Mouly.  And should be appearing in the Feb 9/16 anniversary issue later this week. I was also informed that the Eustace.mobi (iphone cover) might run on a cover. Never the less I was just pleased with the 3 covers and would have been just happy doing them for myself even it no one ever saw them.
